| Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci |
The Green Violinist by Marc Chagall |
||
| The main difference between the Mona Lisa and The Green Violinist is the mood and the colors. The Green Violinist has brighter colors and therefore has a happier mood. On the other hand, The Mona Lisa possesses a gloomy mood and duller colors. They have different art styles, the Mona Lisa is a realistic style of the Renaissance and The Green Violinist is fantasy cubism. The background in the Mona Lisa is very natural looking and blends in with the portrait. The background of The Green Violinist allows the portrait to pop out more because it doesn't have the bright colors of the portrait, just dull grays and browns. I prefer the fantasy style of Chagall to the somber realistic style of daVinci. | |||
