Although I like both of these paintings, I think that Andy Warhol's portrait of Marilyn is much more memorable than Leonardo Da Vinci's portrait of Mona Lisa. Andy Warhol used bright cheerful colors while Da Vinci used gloomy dark colors in the Mona Lisa. Da Vinci uses realism while Andy Warhol uses a mixture of surrealism and realism in their portraits. I think that The Mona Lisa is too ordinary and plain. Andy Warhol's portrait of Marilyn very original because of his color choice. Overall, I like Andy Warhol's Portrait of Marilyn better than Da Vinci's Mona Lisa.
