The Mona Lisa |
||||
|
The Mona Lisa was painted by Leonardo da Vinci from 1479-1528 during the Renaissance. When painting this, Leonardo used a technique called sfumato. It was based upon the fact that when someone is further away from you, the lines on their face are not as sharp as if they were next to you. He did this by blending the colors. I think that the spacing of the things in the background is good. The repetition of color in the background is not to distracting. If I were to say one thing that I don't like about the Mona Lisa is the background all together. I think that it kind of draws you away from the Mona Lisa herself. |
