The Mona Lisa is one of the most remembered paintings in the history of art because of her expressions. Her mysterious smile masterfully painted by Leonardo da Vinci has made people wonder for generations what she is thinking. Also, people have desperately tried to find out whom the portrait is of. Many historians have tried to find out for sure but it still remains unknown. Some people have even suggested that Leonardo was doing a self-portrait of himself after comparing his face to that of the Mona Lisa’s.
