This class is designed for students who like art and are interested in applying their artistic and creative skills in ceramics, clay animation, and photography. Art 1A is a prerequisite.
Students will use the elements and principles of art as a design basis for all their projects. During the first quarter students will work predominantly in clay and during the second quarter move to a more technological environment. Students will work both independently and collaboratively, and will need to be self directed, independent thinkers. Projects will be ongoing and varied, often taking more than a month to complete. Grades will be determined on consistent effort, quality and creativity of projects, ability to share knowledge with others, timely completion, and an ability to recognize the use of artistic principles. Students will be involved in designing the rubrics for the grading process.
Students need to access InClass weekly for announcements, homework, and grades.
