I think the portrait of Beethoven is a lot more memorable than the Mona Lisa. First, it was of an important person unlike the Mona, which is just about a regular person. Also, Beethoven made himself famous, unlike the Mona. I believe that the Mona became famous because of the artist, Leonardo Da Vinci. Next, there is nothing special about the Mona Lisa. While Beethoven has many special features compared to the Mona Lisa. Such include the repetition of the notes, his hair and the music paper and the contrasting colors of his blue face and red tie. The black background brings emphasis to him and the music notes. Also, the music notes all around him symbolize that his life is music. Since his hair and the music paper are the same color, it shows that music runs through out his body. The Beethoven lets me enjoy the painting not make me wonder, who is this person and why is she so famous?
