The Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci is an interesting and unique painting. The Mona Lisa was painted during the Renaissance period (1503-1506 ). It is memorable because Da Vinci painted it in a way that there are a couple tricks in the painting, if you look closely. For example, when you look at the background it looks like the Mona Lisa is smiling but if you look right at her smile she isn’t smiling anymore. She has a straight face. Also, the horizon in the background is not the same, one side is higher than the other is. The colors of this painting are dull and have no bright colors. Some people say that the Mona Lisa is a self-portrait of Da Vinci and that she is not really a woman. People go so far as to draw the Mona Lisa with a mustache and male features. The Mona Lisa is a simple painting compared to Galatea by Salvador Dali which I think should be the most famous painting of all time.
