We like Jeune Fille Assie au Chapeau Blanc because it really seems to speak to us. It kind of has a calming effect on our attitudes. We think that the contrasting color in the background really makes you focus on the body as a whole instead of just her face. Also instead of bright happy colors it has relaxing sad colors which maybe hints that the girl is trying to cover up her sad feelings by smiling. But, even though she is smyling there is still a sad look in her eyes as if she is watching a loved one leave.
