| ~*La Promenade is indeed more memorable than Mona Lisa. Remembering a happier painting like the La Promenade gives a positive feeling in life. The Mona Lisa is a very gloomy and dismal painting while La Promenade is a very light and cheerful painting. Monet’s style of painting is known as Impressionism. In fact, he was one of the first famous impressionists to paint in this new style. It is made up of bright small brushstrokes giving a feeling of simulated light. The Mona Lisa is painted in the realistic and drab style of the early Renaissance. You can see the brush strokes of La Promenade, giving it character. Mona Lisa has been painted over so many times it’s hard to tell who or what was on the painting in the first place. The Mona Lisa’s colors remind us of mud: browns and dark greens. Monet’s impressionistic painting is delicate and whimsical: light blues, whites, and light greens giving a pleasant feeling.*~ | |||
