Comparing Portraits
The differences between the Mona Lisa and the Dali picture are definitely the difference in the colors, and the fact that the Mona Lisa is boring, and the Dali picture is exciting and makes you want to think. The Dali picture is a much more lively, and the Mona Lisa looks like a woman being paid to stand in one place for a long time. All you see in the Mona Lisa is her creepy eyes following you and bland boring colors. When you see the Dali painting of the glass woman, its colors catch your eye, and you want to focus on it. You look more closely at its amazing details. Also, what is nice about it is the eyes are focused down, so you can see where she is looking. This is nice so you don’t have the creepy level to it. The Dali painting has motion and movement in it. When you see the movement it makes you more interested. You can feel the swirling, almost like you are in a hurricane. This is why it is more memorable.
