The other is the Mona Lisa. Mona was painted in Florence, Italy during the Renaissance. It was painted on a 20 7/8" x 30", oil on poplar wood. The peculiar thing about this painting is the smile. The points of emphasis are the eyes because the eyes seem to follow you wherever you go. The Mona Lisa doesn’t really have great coloring because the only real colors are white and black. The background has much more coloring than the figure itself because the background has green and yellow. For being the most popular painting in the world, it isn’t that great.
