Students are apprised of school behavior policies through personal
visits and advance notification of behavioral expectations and possible
consequences by counselors/administrators at the beginning of each
semester. In addition this information is contained in the Jordan
Handbook, Binder Reminder, Class Bulletins, and Teacher's Handbook.
These visits and the written information constitute warnings about
behavior and school expectations. Consequences will fall within
a range, and will be determined by the appropriate school official.
Disciplinary action will depend upon the severity of the misbehavior,
previous behavior and interventions, and the circumstances surrounding
an incident.
Students will be required to make up suspension by serving six
hours of detention for every one day of suspension. Detention time
may be served before school, during lunch, after school, Saturday
School, or a combination of all of the above.
