Student Recognition and Awards

P.R.I.D.E. PROGRAM

Students may receive PRIDE cards from staff members for their positive contributions to the Jordan Community. PRIDE cards must be signed by a parent/guardian and deposited into the appropriate grade level container in the Main Office. PRIDE card recipients are eligible for gift certificates to local businesses and will be awarded at monthly grade level assemblies.

STUDENT of the MONTH

Students are nominated from staff members and are reflective of monthly themes such as responsibility, friendliness, perseverance, etc. Students receive certificates and are recognized publicly for their deeds.

HONOR ROLL

Students receiving a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better are honored twice a year at a grade-level breakfast to which their parents/guardians are invited.

DEPARTMENT AWARDS

Students of all grades are eligible for Department Awards honoring scholarship, participation, or service accomplishments. They are presented in class at the 6th grade level, and at team assemblies for 7th and 8th grades.

Association of California School Administrators Award
John Bono Award

RELEASE OF INFORMATION

Jordan recognizes student academic achievements and talents. Students are frequently recognized in school newsletters, local newspapers and displays throughout the schools and town buildings. Students' work may also be submitted to local and national contests. If a parent has objections to his or her child's name being posted or work displayed and/or photographed, an exemption form needs to be filed in the Guidance Office.
