PiE Donations Needed

Dear Parents,
I am reaching out on behalf of PiE (Palo Alto Partners in Education), the education foundation supporting Jordan. Donations are lower this year and I ask you - and the whole school community - to help with additional support.

As of right now, if we don't receive any more contributions, the amount Jordan will receive for next year is $442,539. That is $41,706 LESS than Jordan received this year! Without PiE, our school would not be the place it is. Our children would not grow in the same ways.

PiE makes a direct difference for each child in our school. PiE's funds help in many direct and indirect ways. Because I can use this additional pool of money in a flexible way, I am able to offer more elective classes, as well as widen the subject matter options, igniting the interest of more kids. I can offer a vibrant music program at a time when other school districts have eliminated them. I have multiple counselors on-site; my colleagues in other districts may have only one for an entire school.

Because of PiE, your child has smaller elective classes, a wide range of people to turn to for support, and a variety of courses that provide inspiration. They have more role models. We are able to support the whole child - academically, socially, and emotionally.

If you have not donated to PiE this school year, please consider a donation now. If you have given, please think about giving a supplemental gift. You can find out all the ways to make a contribution on PiE's website at:

Thank you for supporting Jordan.  -- Principal Katie Kinnaman, Jan. 17, 2017
