Online Communication for
Teachers, Students and Parents/Guardians

new InClass Link: http://inclass.pausd.org

What is InClass?
InClass is our primary source of online course information for students and parents/guardians. It is an all in one system for accessing homework, course materials, announcements, and potentially grades. With InClass, students and parents/guardians can access information relevant to the school day through a browser and the Internet - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

While it is not mandatory that teachers participate, it is highly recommended. Some teachers will opt to use a few of the features, and some will experiment with more. And, at this point about 50% of teachers are planning to post grades online.

Logging on to InClass & Changing Passwords
- NOTE! ALL SECONDARY STUDENT PASSWORDS HAVE BEEN RESET TOTHE STUDENT ID#
If you are a new 6th grade student/parent or new to Palo Alto secondary schools, this is your initial login information:

Student Username = Student ID number
Student Password = Student ID number
Parent/Guardian Username = Student ID number_p
Parent/Guardian Password = Student ID number

Students will be guided through a password change with their core or science teachers. Students should not change their passwords to anything other than their assigned password. Also, please remember that passwords are confidential and should not be shared.

Parents: After you first log on to InClass, please click on Personal Information (upper left) and change your password. Please write down your new password and keep it safe. As of now, one parent account is assigned per student, so parents will need to share the password information. We hope this will change soon. Also, pleaseNOTE! if a parent has more than one secondary student, then you login with the ID# of you oldest child. Look in the "Parent Dashboard" in the upper left and you can toggle between your childrens' accounts.
