Pharaohs In Egypt

My name is Repon and I am the pharaoh of all Egypt. I live in the palace in the middle of town. It is the most beautiful palace in all of Egypt. In my palace we have a lot of feasts. There is going to be a very big one in my honor. Since this is such an important feast, we will be inviting all the high priests and the nobility that I am familiar with. This, of course, will be my finest feast of all. We will be celebrating because I have finally finished searching for a wonderful bride. I left my palace here and went to search all over this land of the Nile, Egypt. I could not decide whom I would want to live with for the rest of my life, or the years to come. It is such a hard decision to come by. My servants searched all over, even the smallest nomes in all of Egypt but they did not find anyone. Her name is Aleve and she will be seated next to me. She has brown eyes and she is five feet two inches tall with thick black hair down to her shoulders. Pharaohs are very much like kings. We rule the land by making all the decisions. For the pharaoh there are a lot of rules to follow. However, all Pharaohs make different rules, like rules that would suit them better or ones that would make them stand out in front of other people or the nobility in the. The rule that every pharaoh has to follow is that every single person in the land of Egypt has to get at least one piece of bread every day. It is a great way so that every person gets at least a little bit to eat. If we did not have that rule then there would be a lot more deaths of starvation than we usually have this time of year. Even if you do not think that a certain farmer did not work as much as he could, he would still be getting bread. In Egypt we are very fair about decisions we make about people and other things. To survive in times like these you have to be loyal to every person you know and every person you have ever met.

My name, Repon, came from my great great grandfather. He was also a pharaoh, but got killed in only his second year on the throne. His name was also Repon, so my parents thought that it would be a great honor to the land.

My home is in the palace with many beautiful things. We have great big walls that were made so no one can get into the palace. There are many artistic sculptures that are very high in the rankings of my most beloved things. Most of my sculptures are made out of rock and have intricate designs. They are all placed on my tables and shelves. On the sculptures there are pictures of gods of the Egyptians and animals. The animals represent gods. For example, the falcon or the ram head is the god Re. In addition, the jackal head represents the god Anubis, the god of the dead.

In the palace we have almost normal things except almost all of the things are plated in gold or in some kind of fine metal. The Egyptians are people that really like having feasts; we also have very good food for our time. In the palace we had even better food, royal food. Since the mud is so fertile, the plants grow with very rich flavors. Some of the tastiest plants we have are wheat, onions, garlic leaks, lentils, and lettuce. Those are some of the finest plants we have. Wheat is the main part of our diet. We base everything around wheat. We also eat a lot of bread. We store all of the wheat in granaries. We also use corn in our food.

We have a lot of beer and I as other Egyptians usually drink water. During feasts we drink wine; even though the Egyptians did not make the wine themselves, the people that do make the wine were the Greeks and the Italians. In our feasts we usually have wine but the people that are not nobility do not drink much wine. People that are poor eat more fish that they eat other animals and rich people eat more meat than fish. Since fish was not that expensive, most people ate that daily with corn and wheat.

Many children enjoy playing games in Egypt. Some of the games that children play are very common all over Egypt, such as, leapfrog and tug-of-war. We have painted pictures of kids doing all sorts of dances. They danced with soldiers and other kids their age. They also had group dances with about ten kids in a circle holding hands. We also have very good board games. The one most adults and kids enjoy playing is snake. This game is common with Pharaohs and nobility. I play a lot with guests. Snake is a very old game but it is very well designed for its age. It is made out of a normal flat stone that serves as the board, there are a lot of indents where the pieces go and the board is meant to look like a snake and it does. The way you play it is as follows: each person has a counter, the counter is the piece that you move around the board. The first person to reach the head of the snake is the winner. On the counters there is usually a picture of a Pharaohıs name marked on it. Some of the games were more difficult to understand than snake.

As you probably know, people in Egypt wear clothes. However, they are different types of clothes than in the past. We wear clothes that are especially designed for the hot weather. Since the days are very hot it is very hard to do anything in Egypt, but the clothes we have are perfect for everyone to use and stay cool. They use several different materials to make the clothes such as linen and wool. These are some of the most useful materials to use in such hot weather. Priests wore very specific clothing; they had leopard skin belts over one shoulder and more cloth under the strapped bell. This was part of the priest ceremonial wear. For the army, we put bronze in their clothes to make it extra strong.

In my times there are many gods people like, but the best of all gods is Re. He is the sun god and the god of the universe. He is also the god of the Nome Hermopolis. He is the god from one of the earliest eras and has been represented as many different things. The most common one was a human body with a falcon or a ramıs head. He was usually represented with a falconıs head. He was thought to be the king of all gods in his era. Re named the sun at different places; he called it "khepri" at dawn "Re" at noon and "atum" at night.

The Pharaohs in Egypt are not just kings; we are sometimes thought to be gods. We are very important to every little nome. The word Pharaoh means great house because it is talking about the Pharaohıs palace. Sometimes we have to train the prince who was usually the pharaohıs own son. It is a hard task to train the prince because you have to teach them every thing you ever learned.
