Opening
1. Amanda will be the timekeeper for today.
2. The Jordan Student Council email is jordanstudentcouncil@gmail.com. Max has access to it and will forward all emails to everybody.
Pennies for Patients Assemblies
1. There wouldn't be enough time to squeeze in two assemblies during SSR and Advisory, and cutting out teacher's class time on such a short notice to do an assembly wouldn't be fair.
2. It would make more sense to do an assembly for GreenCitizen, and itŐs not really important to give an assembly about this. We'll just give reminders and statistics about it over the daily announcements or JTV.
Clubs
1. 14 clubs have turned in their forms and will continue into second semester.
2. Clubs continuing: Secret Garden Club, Lunch Brunch Game Club, The Simpsons Club, Rubik's Cube, Movie Madness, Dodgeball Club, Debate Club, Web Design Club, Scrapbook Club, Fashion Design Club, Club of Ordered Randomness, Gamers' Club, Drama Club
3. New club forms are in the office and will be due by next Wednesday, January 31.
Pennies for Patients
1. We want the sixth graders to be more balanced on the Pennies and GreenCitizen committees. Right now all four officers are on Pennies, and so Tia and Sarah have offered to switch to GreenCitizen.
2. Pennies for Patients Committee = Chirag, Max, Maryssa, Britta, Michael, Hannah
3. GreenCitizen = Chloe, Tia, Sarah, David, Amanda, Kevin
4. Chirag is the leader of Pennies and Amanda is leader of GreenCitizen.
5. The way Pennies usually works is that we give boxes to the reps during a Rep Meeting, and they bring it to their Advisories. The students fill up the box with donation money over two or three weeks.
a. This year we've unanimously decided to continue doing it this way.
6. The Pennies group will have to think up of catchy announcements and design posters to advertise it.
a. Maybe Leadership can help, but we need to give them the dates and other information.
7. Our potential dates are from January 31st to February 14th. Then we have one day (the 15th) to finish up before Ski Week. (There's no school on the 16th due to Staff Development Day.)
