Safe and Caring Schools

1. After Mrs. Petersen read the staff our list about hallway etiquette, they were very impressed.

2. We need to encourage kids to seek help from elders, instead of being afraid of tattle tailing

a. Idea: We will do the “Dear Abby” – type segment on JTV

b. We will use a name such as “Alex”, that is both feminine and masculine

c. The actual letters and situations will be made up by the student council

3. We will email Katia Petersen at katiapetersen@safeandcaringschools.com to send student council’s ideas, noted, and questions if we need any help

4. The deadline for our idea for this Safe and Caring Schools project is TBD

5. Site Council Meetings: We need to ask the Site council if it is ok if we only send two student council representatives instead of four

6. People in Charge of upcoming projects:

1) “Dear Abby” segments: Simone & Vivian

2) Elections-May 26 week: Luke & Michael

3) Earth Week-April: Amanda

4) 8^th grade Gift: All 8^th graders
