Absent : Mrs. Sano, because she is sick. The teacher advisor for this meeting was the substitute.
1. ODFL
a) If groups need to meet before the ODFL starting date, March 3rd, then they should organize it themselves
b) Today at advisory, the staff awareness committee of ODFL is going on JTV to show a slideshow
c) Mrs. Shagory and other teachers were amazed with the presentation the student council and peer helpers presented at the staff meeting, so they would like to help us by having a student luncheon, where students can buy tickets to eat food. The money will go towards ODFL. Maryssa S. , Michael A. , Luke P. , and Amanda B. , will help them set up.
d) We might have an ODFL meeting this Friday. If not, we will have one next Tuesday.
e) The JTV committee of ODFL will be making a segment with two parts about ODFL and would like it to go on air on Tuesday and Wednesday. They will need to send it to Mrs. Morosoli, smorosoli@pausd.org, by Monday.
2. Clubs- We went over all of the forms briefly and checked how many people were in each club
a) Some clubs were under 10 students, which was the minimum:
1) Comic Club- 7 sign ups
2) Writing Club- 5 sign ups (thinking about asking founders to join this club with the creative writing club, which is similar)
3) French Club- No sign ups
3. JTV
a) Next time we plan to go on air on JTV, we need to make sure all student council members who signed up are there on time and have their scripts preferably memorized, or else printed with big font on a piece of paper
b) Tell your teacher beforehand that you need to be in the broadcasting room at 8:45 am
c) We need to distribute the jobs equally (The same person should not write the script every time)
d) Be sure to let other student council members and Mrs. Sano edit your script before going on air
