Simone Environmental Team meeting:

1.. About how we should make Jordan more green

2. We might need more blue crates in the hall since they are getting filled up too fast. Mrs. regalia will talk to PASCO to get more crates.

3. We should have a campaign to teach more students about what to recycle and what not to.

4. We have rewards for recycling. We might give pride cards or candy when you recycle things.

5. We want filters in the water fountains, because it does not taste good. There are two kinds of filters. The cheaper one would work, but the more expensive holds up 5 times as much as water. For the new one, we would have to buy new fountains. Is that a risk we are willing to make?

6. Maybe we should take an oral survey. Do you drink water at school? If you donÕt, why not? If there was a good quality water fountain, would you use it? Where would you like your fountains to do? This will give us a feel of if we would like to buy new fountains.

7. Every room has recycle big cardboard boxes.

 

Maryssa: ASB:

  1. They got a big book that had a lot of things. It has all of the rules for student council. Someone came in from Southern California.
  2. PTA budget and our budget are different.
  3. we should not gift money to others.
  4. We can only sell food half an hour after school.
  5. Our field is off campus, so can we sell food there?
  6. There is a Clubs constitution for every club. there is a template in the big book.
  7. Mrs. Sano brings up that parents are complaining that their kids have been kicked out of the Movie club, since the president only lets the first 40 people com in.
  8. For the robotics club, it is our decision if we want to give more money to it

 

All people who are going to the Site Council retreat should be working on preparing their speech.

 

1 Dollar:

  1. Mrs. Smith, with the peer helpers, want us to attend next weekÕs meeting. This fundraiser has something to do with a dollar a day. Maybe we could put this in place of the Leukemia and the Lymphoma society.
  2. Luke is talking all about fundraisers to the sixth graders. The TURKEY TROT is when you can donate food the all of the homeless people. Last yea, we did not have it because people were bringing in tea bags and top ramen because they wanted to win the money. Pennies for patients is when you donate money. Each advisory is a team.
