Art Wheel Curriculum Map - Sixth Grade

This is a beginning level exploratory course in a variety of media. The course is intended to help students develop introductory skills and vocabulary, learning new techniques, and expand knowledge of art, artists, and their cultural influences. The elements and principles of art will serve as a foundation for the lessons presented. This brief experience of art instruction includes both two-dimensional and three dimensional. The class touches upon each of the California State strands.
MAJOR UNITS OF INSTRUCTION may or may not be taught in this sequence. Time varies per unit. Standards listed are aligned to state and PAUSD art content.
