WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE FOR STUDENTS?

GOALS
• Maintain one up to date school computer for every four students
• Provide enough student laptop carts for flexible 1:1 computing
• Use technology to improve basic skills, critical thinking, and media literacy.
• Bridge the gap for those with no home access
• Increase use of technology resources, projection, video, imaging, and broadcast
• Increase the use of technology for classroom instruction
• Improve two way communication between home and school
• Identify new technologies and explore potential applications

Schedule
2007-2008-Replace Science laptops, 30-40 teacher laptops, 1 7/8 cart, SmartBoards for math and science, Increase use of InClass, Implement Video Production, increase use of JTV studio
2008-2009-30-40 teacher laptops, Replace 2 library laptop carts, SmartBoards for math and science, refine video production and jtv integration
2009-2010-Replace office desktops, two 6th grade carts, continue SmartBoard purchases
2010-2011-Replace two 6th grade carts, two 7/8 carts
2011-2012- Replace Multimedia cart, desktop computers in main computer lab and teaching lab
